Homelessness is a precarious and vulnerable condition that puts people at risk of hunger, illness, assault, theft, and overwhelming stress. It is estimated that in Bernalillo County alone, 2,400 people are homeless on any given day and roughly 1,000 of them are men. It takes a community dedicated to ending the cycle to help these New Mexicans achieve greater independence and return to safe, affordable housing.. If your group wants to learn more about the issues of homelessness and poverty, AOC will be happy to speak to your organization.
